The Next Perspective

Max DeGenova is a filmmaker, photographer, actor, musician, and Chicago native. He graduated with a BA in Cinema Arts + Sciences and a minor in Stage Acting from Columbia College Chicago in 2016. He has written and directed numerous narrative short films as well as music videos and experimental films. He has extensive experience in product photography and portrait photography with a candid edge.

Max's films and photographs focus on a candor that is often unexpressed in popular media. He believes in honesty at all levels of the creative process. He often thinks back to the first time a film taught him something about himself, and he seeks to do the same with his own work. Even if the subject matter is unattractive, if it is truthful it might show people that they are not alone in their struggles, fears, and insecurities.
